Here are a few links to websites I go to for photography-related things, be it reviews of cameras, technique, critique, examples, or explanation of certain aspects, these are my favorites…

dpreview.com - lots of reviews… great in depth breakdown of functions and features of the latest and greatest gear. When people ask me about cameras, this is where I go to get a general feel of what’s available

fredmiranda.com - an online community where one can get critiques, view examples, read gear reviews, and swap ideas. Weekly and Monthly photo challenges are always interesting to look at.

photo.net - another community with great examples, gear reviews, and flowing ideas. The galleries available on this site are top notch!

luminous-landscape.com - a favorite of mine, and where I went to get a general idea of apature, shutter speed, depth of field, etc. They just posted a great article about tilt-shift lenses. Waaaaay beyond my scope of comprehension, but interesting nonetheless!

google.com - the venerable! When in doubt… just search it and see what comes up. Like any other question nowadays, you’re not the only one with that problem.

We added some new features and updates last night. A vote button has been added to albums, now you can vote for a users album or your own, voted albums have a higher chance of getting in the top 10. The vote button will also be used for future fOTOGLIF community photography competitions. Our first competition will be announced very soon so be on the lookout for that one.

Recently commented albums are now being aggregated to the front page of the site, so get in and start being involved in the discussion surrounding your own and other users photos. In addition to the above we also added some updates that should help to speed the system up and hopefully create a better all round user experience.

Well, I’ve been dug up from the back of the fOTOGLIF office to blog about photo-related topics and other fOTOGLIF musings. With the hope that I can entertain without offending, I will try my best to bring you stuff that might be helpful or interesting when working in and around fOTOGLIF or peering through a camera lens.
